Die gezeigten Modelle sind genial, leider fehlen mir doch ein paar Detailbilder zu den Modellen. Zwar sind hinten immer Links zu den Modellen angegeben, wo man manchmal sogar (teilweise gegen Bezahlung) die Bauanleitung runterladen kann. Meist aber bleibt die Konstruktion nebulös. Das zeigt sich besonders bei den Tank aus dem Spiel StarCraft 2, der eigentlich reine Kunst ist. Auf der Homepage kann man dann auch ein Video ansehen - aber wie genau das Teil funktioniert ist nicht ersichtlich.Auch sind fast keine Modelle von den bekannten Autor Sariel dabei, sondern es ist eher eine Sammlung von verschiedenen Designern, die zeigen, was momentan möglich ist mit Lego Technic.Selbst wenn man dann eine Bauanleitung im Netz findet, erkennt man sehr schnell, daß man das Modell kaum nachbauen kann. Da stehen einerseits die astronomisch hohen Kosten im Weg, wenn man 5000 Lego Teile frei bestellt und anderseits tut man sich überhaupt extrem schwer alle Teile zu einen Modell finden, welche alle durchweg aus exotischen Legoteilen bestehen.Trotzdem, man schaut die Modelle in diesem Buch an und kommt aus dem staunen nicht mehr heraus.
Die Modelle im Buch sind fantastisch.Das Innere der Modelle (Antrieb, Lenkung) ist leider das einzige was man, hin und wieder, als ein extra Bild zusehen bekommt.Ich habe keine Bauanleitungen erwartet, aber hier und da ein Bild zum Aufbau mancher (sehr interessanter) Mechanismen, hätte man schon zeigen können.So sind es schöne Modelle zum staunen und rätseln, wie hat er das denn hinbekommen! Schade.
Mit diesem Buch staunt der Lego-Fan was alles möglich ist.Mich hat es dazu inspiriert selbst Modelle zu bauen/entwickeln und viele Bautechniken kann man sich hier abgucken. Aufgrund der Komplexität der beschriebenen Modelle ist es eher etwas für Erwachsene Legobauer.
